Samantha Ellis’s plays include Operation Magic Carpet (Polka Theatre), Cling to Me Like Ivy (Birmingham Rep & tour), Patching Havoc (Theatre 503), Sugar and Snow (BBC Radio 4), and most recently, Starlore and Other Plays (Theatre 503). She is a core member of Agent 160 and produced a Fun Palace with them in 2014, in which her short play This Time I Win was performed in a tent outside the Wales Millennium Centre. Her immersive play Anatomical Venus will be produced by Goat and Monkey Theatre soon.
Samantha is also a journalist, and she recently script edited Paddington for Heyday Films. Her reading memoir How to be a Heroine is published by Chatto & Windus (and Knopf in the US). She is currently working on a book about Anne Brontë for Chatto.
